What is your matcha and where is it from?

Our matcha is organic and ceremonial grade made from the youngest, freshest tea leaves from the first harvest in the foothills of Uji, Japan. Uji is the region renowned for producing the world’s best matcha.

How long does matcha last?

All of our products have an expiration date on them, but matcha usually has a shelf life of approximately 2 years. For maximum freshness, store your matcha away from light, preferably in the fridge once opened.

Is your matcha tested for radiation and heavy metals?

Yes! We are happy to confirm that all of our matcha goes through all required testing, specifically for radiation and heavy metals.

Why is matcha more expensive than green tea?

Due to the meticulous process in which ceremonial grade matcha is grown and harvested. Matcha green tea powder has 10x the benefits of your standard cup of green tea, but thankfully it’s not 10x the price!

Does Matcha Contain Caffeine?

Yes, matcha powder naturally contains caffeine, about 35mg per gram (1/2 tsp) of PerfectTed matcha.

How do I change my shipping address?

We ship to the address provided at checkout. Please make sure your address is correct before placing your order. Once your order has processed, we cannot update your shipping address.

What is your subscription program?

Our subscription program is made for those who love PerfectTed’s 100% clean energy but hate the hassle of ordering every month. Subscribers receive a discount on every single order. There is a 3 order minimum on all subscriptions (i.e. 3 separately fulfilled subscription shipments). By starting a monthly subscription, you agree to this policy. Your subscription order will automatically be placed on the same day of the month you begin your subscription. For example, if you start your subscription on January 1st, your order will be automatically placed on the 1st of each following month. You are charged once the order is placed.

What's so special about first harvest (first-flush) matcha?

During winter, tender buds have a chance to hibernate and acquire extra nutrients. First harvest matcha comes from the first spring harvest, thus capturing the extra nutrients that the tea plant works so hard over winter to develop. As a result, the first harvest matcha has 3X the L-theanine and twice the caffeine of second harvest (second flush) matcha, which contains significantly fewer antioxidants and nutrients.

How should I store my matcha powder?

Matcha powder is very sensitive to oxidation and temperature so we recommend storing it in an airtight container away from direct light exposure. The best place for matcha is in the fridge, treat it a bit like you would a fresh vegetable.

Is matcha safe for pregnant women and or children?

We recommend asking your doctor about the effects of caffeine on pregnant women and children before consuming it!

How much matcha should I have in a day?

That’s up to you and your body! The same limits you’d set for yourself on coffee should be applied to matcha.

Do you offer international shipping?

At the moment, we ship to the US and Australia, but we hope to add more to our list soon!

Why don’t you ship your beverages outside the United Kingdom?

How do I pause or end my subscription?

Going away for a while or want to take a break? No worries - you can select a new date for delivery, pause your subscription, or cancel it, as long as your monthly order has not already been processed and you have met the minimum fulfilled requirement. You can make these edits to your subscription via your account or by emailing

Once your monthly subscription order has been processed, we cannot intercept or cancel orders. If you need to make changes to or cancel your order, including updating the shipping address, please update via your account or email us at at least 3 days in advance of your order date. We are not liable for incorrect shipping addresses on subscription orders.
