Easy Iced Hojicha Latte with White Miso Caramel

If you love comforting drinks with deep, roasted flavours, this Hojicha latte is one to save. Naturally sweet dates blended with a touch of white miso create a rich caramel layer, while smooth Hojicha adds warm, nutty notes and a gentle caffeine lift. Trust us on this one — it’s creamy, slightly indulgent, and perfect for slow mornings or winding down later in the day.

Ingredients

  • 3g Hojicha powder
  • 40ml hot water (around 80°C)
  • 2 soft dates (soaked until tender)
  • 40ml oat milk (for blending)
  • 2g white miso paste
  • 200ml milk of choice
  • Ice
  • Extra water if needed (to loosen the date caramel)

Method

  1. Start with your Hojicha shot
  2. Whisk 3g Hojicha Powder with 40ml of water at 80 degrees
  3. Soak two dates until soft
  4. Blend with 40ml of oat milk and 2g of white miso until smooth and caramel-like (loosen with water if needed)
  5. Add the date caramel to the bottom of your glass
  6. Add in your ice and pour over 200ml of milk of your choice
  7. Slowly pour your Hojicha shot on top to finish and enjoy
